In a country where art is perceived as a tool for demographic segmentation, public art represents one of the strongest forms of democratization of artistic expression. The end of World War I and the Russian Civil War gave the Estonian forces the opportunity to declare their independence from Soviet Russia and the nobility of Livonia and Curland who formed the Baltische Landeswehr in 1918. Although Estonia would become a Socialist Soviet Republic during World War II, February 24 marks the ignition of its life as an independent nation.

The piece is composed of nine swallows made in the particular style of each artist, superimposed on the phrase Vadabus Liberty that Atole wrote within a sky blue field. For Estonians, the swallow is the national bird, symbolizing freedom and the ability to know the world without forgetting your home.

The Mural can be seen in the Republican Army corner with November 20 in Queretaro and has been recognized in Estonia as part of the gift that Mexico made to the Baltic nation.

The Intercultural Festival of Muralism on Water, Life and Unity, from March 30 to April 8, 2018, in Querétaro, Mexico.

Behind Nine Urban Art is a dream: the power of small, responsible organizations to change Mexico and the world. Born from a small company that evolved as an organization that seeks total responsibility, Nueve is a Mexican platform for the production of murals, the development of Mexican talent and the transformation of society through culture.

Through an alliance with the Pangea Seed Foundation, based in Hawaii and the creator of the Sea Walls – Artists for Oceans Festival, the artists, curators and producers of Nueve have managed to create a unique piece in the world. Considering its curatorship, the cause it defends, its level of quality and its extraordinary combination with the architectural work, the altarpiece of “Water is One” is the most extraordinary work of urban art in the world today.

“Water Is One” consists of the creation of a monumental “Altarpiece” or “meta-work of art” on the dome of Foucault’s pendulum at the CECEQ, with 3,000 square meters of murals, composed of 21 pieces developed by 33 artists and producers, tackling a single theme under the curatorial line of “Water Is One”.

The altarpiece was created with different artistic styles including hyperrealism, illustration, organic exploration, metaphysics, graffiti, classical muralism and Transpersonal Graffiti Muralism or “Transgrafiti”. The participation of some of the most important exponents of urban art at the local, national and international levels stands out, among which are: Aaron Glasson from New Zealand, Jason Botkin from Canada, Nosego from the United States, Mantra from France, Sänk from Estonia and a large group of Mexican talents with: Sermob, Goal, Ryper, Renata Martínez, Demencia Beivide, Saúl Torbe, Miguel Valiñas, Smithe, Curiot Tlapazotl, Paola Delfín, Pogo, Tmuz, Atole Parra, Tmuz, the Xfamily and Benuz Guerrero.

This monumental milestone in the history of urban art was created as a gift to the peoples of Queretaro, Mexico and the world, and its legacy will endure for posterity in an investment that represents two million pesos of private capital provided by Incusa, winner of the National Quality Award 2016, through its artistic platform Nueve Arte Urbano.

In an act of generosity and love for humanity, all the participating artists donated their time, talent and love to dialogue with the world about the challenges facing human survival in the face of the challenges of water, garbage, overconsumption and the exploitation of Mother Earth.

This Festival represents a central point in the work of Nueve Arte Urbano in the streets of Querétaro for eight years and whose genesis was presented during the administration of Francisco Domínguez Servién as Mayor of the city, through Paulina Aguado and the Municipal Institute of Culture of Querétaro, during the festivities of the bicentennial of Mexico’s independence.

This meta-artwork was executed between March 27 and April 15, 2018 and seeks to spread its message to the whole world.

The Intercultural Festival “El Agua es Una” is possible thanks to the invaluable support of the Executive Branch of the State of Queretaro, which, through the Ministry of Education, has facilitated the intervention of a public space within the facilities of the Educational and Cultural Center of the State of Querétaro “Manuel Gómez Morin”, by awarding the dome of the Foucault Pendulum to be the Macromural site that will promote the main message of safeguarding the oceans and water in a special edition of the Sea Walls program: Artists for Oceans by the Pangeaseed Foundation in Co-production with Nueve Arte Urbano and Incusa. The history of Querétaro begins with a spring known as “El Pinito”,”Socavones” and “Alberca El Capulín”; These waters marked the place of settlement of the first settlers Ñhañhö and these same waters were the cornerstone of the city’s growth and erection of figures such as the aqueduct of the city, which symbolizes the challenge facing humanity to survive without depriving another community of liquid. Not only as a festival, but as a collective work of art, consisting of 52 murals inside the walls of Tallinn, Narva, Viljandi and Tartu. A reminder that it makes us proud to be Mexicans, or Estonians, and even better, what unites us beyond our nationalities: our cultural freedom. Our responsibility to make this place, or world, a better place than how we find it.

In Mexico, searching in the toughest places but with wisdom, an open heart and soul can lead you directly to the Blue Deer. In Estonia, this same path leads to the fern flower. Like the Elk rune of Nordic cultures,”Blue Deer” represents prosperity, protection and fertility, embracing all sentient beings, brothers of Mother Earth and Father Sun. Both generous horned animals sacrifice themselves, giving their own flesh to feed us all.

Immersed in today’s contemporary world, in our endless race for wealth, consumption and competitiveness, Mextonia was a gift to remind the world of the Spirit of a collective soul in the form of the Blue Deer, which finally found a Fern Flower.

Inspirado parcialmente en dos manifiestos redactados por Siqueiros, y firmados en su primera versión por Rivera y Orozco entre otros, el primero publicado en México en la revista “El Machete” de junio de 1924 y el segundo en Buenos Aires, en el diario “Crítica” de junio de 1933.

 

Artistas, escritores de graffiti, productores, gobiernos y ciudadanos: Estamos trabajando en todo el mundo para impulsar un movimiento de la plástica monumental para las calles y las urbes, creando piezas simbólicas de gran formato en los espacios comunitarios donde conc

urre el tráfico del público, haciendo de ellas un elemento de catalización cultural, hacia la felicidad.

 

 

Definimos Cultura como el entramado de significados y símbolos que conecta a los individuos entre sí y en sociedad. En consecuencia damos al muralismo transgrafitero el propósito de catalizar la cultura, mediante el arte urbano, hacia el bienestar colectivo, la prosperidad, la paz y la felicidad; misma que definimos como “el deseo de sonreír”. Abogamos por la integración de las distintas culturas, micro-culturas, etnias e individualidades, en un enjambre humano de composición fractal y sabiduría intercultural, reconociendo su capacidad natural para auto organizarse, entre el orden y el caos.

Buscamos que cada acto creativo, en cada proyecto, cumpla siempre con cuatro resultados simultáneos: ambientales, sociales, culturales y económicos. Participamos al aprendiz en cada paso del proceso creativo, ligando experiencia con enseñanza teórica. Integramos al artista individual a procedimientos colectivos, a la inteligencia de enjambre y a la organización fractal. Aprovechamos cualquier avance tecnológico, empleando materiales y herramientas contemporáneos, para llevar el poder de símbolo cultural al arte urbano: de la mente colectiva al muro y de ahí al mundo digital, para alcanzar públicos globales. Usamos la realidad virtual y la inteligencia artificial a fin de explorar los nuevos linderos de la experiencia humana, pero siempre ligando la obra ultramoderna con las tradiciones étnicas ancestrales y los ideales sociales. Actuamos para fortalecer la salud de nuestros ecosistemas promoviendo la consciencia de unidad y respeto por la Naturaleza. Nos sostenemos autónomos mediante el emprendedurismo social y el respeto por la ley.

 Comprendemos que la creatividad tiene un propósito, que en salud se alinea con el propósito de la vida, hacia el bienestar individual y colectivo. En el mundo de hoy existen millones de jóvenes que se expresan mediante la pintura, creando y escribiendo en muros, desarrollando talentos y visiones, influyendo en la sociedad mediante el símbolo, la audacia y el respeto a convicciones propias. Comienzan escribiendo su nombre para identificarse con su espacio y les llamamos grafiteros. Crecen, acumulan conocimiento, emprenden un camino transpersonal que los inspira al cambio, a pintar metáforas, a transfronterizarse, y les llamamos ahora transgrafiteros. Descubren que su creación, personal o transpersonal, influye en la calle y en la cultura barrial. Se vuelven un trasunto urbano del chamán; produciendo sortilegios callejeros. Son potencialmente los líderes culturales del barrio. Este enjambre de jóvenes, jamás imaginado por Siqueiros, es hoy la encarnación del propósito de la creatividad plástica: crear un mundo mejor.  Esto es Transgrafiti.

Tlatelolco, melting pot of culture, memory and stories drowned in time. Surrounded by imposing multi-family houses eroded by time and monuments that denounce a history written in blood, the X Familia grouped together on one side of the Veracruz building to create a monumental work. After having repaired his concrete canvas, the crew put together brushes and cans to challenge the heights of Mexico City and give the neighbors of Tlatelolco a new manifestation of identity, expressed through the colors and textures that emanate from the minds of its members. Years of travelling through cities together, leaving a mark on the walls of Mexico, the X Familia, with unity and fraternity as the main engines, and faithful to the school that saw the birth of its first lines, the collective reflected in the verticality of the multifamiliar a reminder of the polysemic structure that composes the Mexican. While Quetzalcoatl’s feathers cover the cracks caused by the cataclysms of the past, the Feathered Serpent ascends through the Veracruz floors to guide Mexicans in their reconnection with nature. Thanks to the X Familia, an example of true camaraderie, for the endurance, the good vibe and the tireless struggle that exalts and dignifies Mexican art.

 

That’s how Tlatelolco is painted, that’s how Mexico is painted!
